Joan's hedgehog hosprickal
In August 2008 the garden was rearranged to accomodate a purpose-built home for the hegdehogs. I have called it my Hedgehog Hosprickal.
This has been paid for by myself, using my own funds. The Hosprickal is a fully insulated shed with lighting and electrical power laid on. There are thirty small hutches around the walls, with storage space for food, bedding , feeding dishes and medicines.

The hosprickal has made my operation far more efficient. All of the requirements for looking after the hedgehogs are in one place and it is far easier to feed, clean and care for the hogs.
Because the shed is insulated and does not have large windows, it is much cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. I expect that the costs for keeping underweight hogs heated and awake through the winter will be much reduced.
